ZEPHR / STATE DRUGS: Split: 7”

Sep 22, 2022

Side Z, Zephr goes back to that wonderful sound of ’90s indie rock that reminds me of Archers Of Loaf and Guided By Voices. A rocking song with catchy guitars and great vocals. Take away the drenched effects from Beach Slang and you’ve landed on this song. Side S, State Drugs drone and mope a little more. If you slowed down the RPMs to Pegboy’s “Through My Fingers,” you’ll find traces of this song. These bands are a perfect accompaniment to each other. Great split. –Ryan Nichols (Snappy Little Numbers!)
