YOU ARE HERE (AN ATLAS OF EVERYTHING): CLOCKTOWER 9 #16, $4, 5½” x 8½”, copied, 30 pgs.

In the introduction to this issue, Danny says, “Maps aren’t just instructions to get you from one place to another. They are invitations to adventures, guides to get home safely, and hopefully a nice piece of art.” I wholeheartedly agree. I really miss maps. The small, thin “glovebox” atlas I traveled all over the States with in my youth still sits on my bookshelf, despite its obsolescence. Lot of memories in there. I agree with him that traveling by phone GPS just sucks. That’s why I found this contributor issue of Clocktower 9 to be such a pleasure (that and the fact that I’ve been cooped up so much myself due to COVID). In here you’ll find maps of places found in dreams, maps of childhood stomping grounds, maps of the route taken home after a break-up as the cartographer sings and shouts through their tears, and much more. It’s a nice salve for this cell phone, COVID quarantine hell. –Craven Rock (Spin Cycle, Attn: Danny, 321 Broadway East, Seattle, WA 98102, antiquatedfuture.com or etsey.com/shop/ClockTowerNine)
