XEROGRAPHY DEBT #49, $4.95, 5½” x 8½”, copied, 68 pgs.

I’ve reviewed issues of Xerography Debt a few times and for the most part not much has changed. This is a zine that reviews zines with a few columns, too. Reviews printed tend to be predominantly those that are positive. The noticeable change for me with this issue, however, is that a great number of the reviewers were reviewing the same zines. Also, many of those zines tended to be written by other reviewers. Beyond this, there were a number of zines published by Microcosm, who helps publish Xerography Debt. Granted, the reviews are generally well-written, but it begs the question: are fewer people making zines or is it just not many people are sending them to Xerography Debt? Hopefully future issues of this zine will find additional, varied content. –Kurt Morris (Microcosm, 2752 N. Williams Ave., Portland, OR 97217)
