Two guys fooling around during lockdown. Drum machine spoken word stuff. German synth-rock spoofs. Doo-wop. Complaints to the manager. Sockeye-level performance art. Probably fun to make, but most likely takes a certain ilk (buddies with the band, maybe?) to enjoy it as a listener. Soophie Nun Squad did this sort of thing pretty well, but with a modicum of wholeheartedness and intention towards human connection that leant some sincerity to it. These guys are just goofing around, and that’s fine. It is what it is. To their credit, each song sounds wholly different from the previous one. –Keith Rosson (wolframandhartiger.bandcamp.com)
