WIRMS, THE: Dig These Four Songs with…: 7”

The title says it all. Four songs with The Wirms, and as someone who loves puns, I get the “dig.” “Do the Squirm” is a hard-hitting intro song laced with fun guitar riffs. The singer’s voice sounds like George Thorogood with a hint of rockabilly-inspired drawl. I don’t mind the yelling in the song. I actually think his yelling voice sounds better. “Land of Milk and Honey” gives me imagery of riding a motorcycle at full speed in the desert, while “Brenda Sue” is a nod to rock’n’roll from the ‘50s. –Cynthia Pinedo (What’s For Breakfast, wfbrecords.com)
