Jarring, angular, and dissonant—but I mean all those words with the utmost respect and admiration. The music reminds me of Bluetip, and Ignition perhaps, mixed in with a dash of Lungfish. But the lyrics? They are spiritual and sentimental at the same time. I’m not going to even attempt to quote any of them as my interpretations would be fruitless. It feels like some of the lyrical subjects may have first come to light in a medical journal housed in a dusty attic since the 1850s. But maybe that’s just me. –Sean Koepenick (Blind Rage, wirelines1.bandcamp.com)
