A cassette comp with twenty bands I’ve never heard of put out by a label I’ve never heard of: a test of endurance for crap or a goldmine of talent waiting to be unearthed? More Smoke: fuckin’ absurdly wacky grindcore not unlike most of the bands on the first two Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh! comps. Ok Satan: Liquids’ bratty Danish little cousins. Gaba Ghoul: Butthole Surfers understudies. Then there’s a bunch of weird egg punk, harsh noise, post-punk, and even some black metal. Mostly listenable, some forgettable, but definitely interesting enough for me to give it my undivided attention. Wet Cassettes: one thing’s for sure.
