I had the pleasure of reviewing Kat Music for Kat People Vol. 3 a year or so ago, and it was one of the best comps I’d heard in years. Volume 6 is in that same lofty stratosphere, even though it may be a wee, wee smidge less entertaining than volume 3 (having not heard volumes 1, 2, 4, and 5, I will not speak to any comparisons therewith), but it is still an excellent record and well worth the cost of admission (eight bucks for thirty-six killer tunes is a friggin’ bargain). As with other Kat Music comps, this has just about every conceivable subgenre of pop punk. How Bloated Kat finds all these great bands is beyond me, but I will not complain in the least.
