TV GENERATION / SINEMA, THE: DCxPC Live Presents Volume 2: 7”

Sep 16, 2021

The DCxPC Live series returns with volume two with two new bands. I was a huge fan of the first volume in the series, and this one is no different. TV Generation and The Sinema couldn’t be more different sonically, but they both bring an intense stage presence which shines through in this live recording. TV Generation plays punk rock in the vein of the early punk bands of the late ’70s and ’80s, particularly The Damned, who they cover with a rendition of “Drinking About My Baby.” The Sinema describe themselves as a “theatrical metal band,” and you can hear an eclectic mix of sounds in their track “RAID,” aka “Fuck the Alt-Right.” The sets for both bands were recorded at the venue Uncle Lou’s as part of a livestream benefit for the venue. In addition to the funds raised during the livestream, all the proceeds from the sales of this record are going to support the venue. Great tunes benefiting a great venue; how can you go wrong? –Paul J. Comeau (DCxPC, [email protected])
