The Trash Knife side of this split makes me feel like maybe there is a place where riot grrrl is still something that people honor instead of something people diminish on the internet for cred with their punk friends. At their best moments, they sound like Philly neighbors Mannequin Pussy (a comparison I can’t be the first to make), though by the final song I wanted to hear something as complex as the first song.
