TIME SELLERS, THE: “Down Here” b/w “Hat and the Crown”: 7”

The Time Sellers have a sound that reminds me of Bloc Party, an indie rock band whose major label debut I bought in 2005 but have hardly revisited since. This is not the kind of indie that is short for independent (as in Fugazi) but indie as in “we’re too cool for labels, just call us indie” (as in Hot Topic). I would not be surprised if I caught this band playing a late night talk show in the next few years, but the music is just not for me or, I would imagine, many readers of Razorcake. –Jon Mule (Outro, outrorecords.com)
