TELEPATHIC LINES: Little Brother: LP

Nov 22, 2017

There’s just something about this record. It comes out right from the sweet spot where The Promise Ring and Uncle Tupelo might come together: earnest and nostalgic. Songs like “Big Words” and “Old Home” explore the space in between memories of easy-going childhood and not wanting to go back to those places. I want to listen to this record around a fire on a semi-chilly night when I’m willing to find out whether I’m game enough to give up on everything that I complain too much about. Oddly specific, but that’s what this record does. –Theresa W. (Bakery Outlet, bakeryoutletrecords.com)
