Lead singer, guitarist, and figurehead Jeffrey Lee Pierce fits in easily with the genius songwriting of Arthur Lee (Love), Chris Hillman (Byrds), and John Doe and Exene (X). Unfortunately, neither he nor his band achieved the notoriety of his fellow luminary Angelinos.
