SWAN WASH: The Upstairs Museum: CS

I read that this band formed after a few members played together in a Siouxsie And The Banshees cover band and I think you really need to know that. This record is spooky and moody, riding the edge between new wave and no wave. It’s like if The Breakfast Club met The Craft, with effects and some general noise but also clear melodies and driving centers. If you thought Bloomington was only about folk punk, have Swan Wash got news for you. –Theresa W. (Sister Cylinder)
