This five-song cassette is packaged in one of the nicest J-Cards I’ve seen in a while. It still has that coming-home-from-the-mall plastic smell. Besides that, it’s also a well-executed five-song demo. The first song, “Gutless,” is a nice bit of upbeat jangle pop. “Not Tired” continues in the same vein with a slower pace and a fun bass line framing the jangle with a hint of melody. I’m a bit out of touch with this type of thing, so I’m going to have to make an old man reference and say it has a bit of a Lush vibe with a little more of a pop vibe.
