Canadian literary multi-contributor magazine with every issue a different theme. This issue focused on the word, “neighbors.” What does it mean to you, especially in this post-COVID world? Some of the essays are sad, lamenting on relationships that have deteriorated, or neighbors who passed away (sometimes from COVID, sometimes not). Poetry observing the people in their neighborhoods, obsessions with neighbors, and snooping on strangers are explored. At times it was hard to read, coming to realize that I don’t know much about my own neighbors, but also it was nice to read the personal essays of contributors’ own neighborhoods and the people who inhabit them, giving me a mini-vacation to travel to their towns and see people I’ll never know. –Tricia Ramos (subTerrain, PO Box 3008 Station Terminal, Vancouver BC, V6B 3X5, Canada)
