Perhaps the name of this artist is a giveaway, but singer Eloy Lasanta seems to be heavily influenced by Prince. Self-described as a mix of pop, rock, and funk, this album offers just that. It even features a very unexpected cover of “Ava Adore” by Smashing Pumpkins. Written, arranged, performed, produced, mixed, and mastered all by Eloy Lasanta—I’m sure putting together a record on your own is no small feat, so for that I commend them! –Emily T.
