A reissue of 1983 album by a now-obscure power pop band hailing from Virginia, recorded at Hit & Run Studios, better known for being the place where hardcore legends Void recorded their first demo. True to the style and the era, there’s a nice balance between saccharine pop and punk energy—‘60s harmonic echoes and ‘80s verve here—at times recalling bands like The Last and maybe even a bit of Elvis Costello.
