From the name of the band I was fully expecting an aural metallic assault to rain down on me but I was wrong. The trio from Dundee deals in melodic post-punk, hinting at Braid in places but with higher-toned, slightly harsher vocals. It also reminds me a lot of The Union Ares, another Scottish based trio with a similar modus operandi. Despite the edginess there is an odd sense of calm over the eight tracks as the guitar jostles with the rhythm section to take centre stage. This has grown on me quite a lot. –Rich Cocksedge (Make That A Take, [email protected],
