One thing I appreciate about Stapled Spine is you can tell the creator is really passionate about the content they’re putting out. They love horror, and do a great job of loving every horror-related media out there. In this issue we have reviews of haunted houses (and haunted experiences) across Oregon. Haunted houses are rated on their ticket prices, art, fun, and the effort and actors in each haunt. I don’t particularly enjoy going to haunted houses (having a stranger jump out of the darkness is something I can already experience walking alone at night in my everyday life), but I can appreciate someone reviewing them and the fun of attending one. Also included in this issue is an interview with Rogue Brewery’s can designer who creates their own cryptids, and a collection of art and comics of cartoonist, R. Crumb’s “shesquatch” (a Bigfoot with titties). Hard pass on R. Crumb forever from me, but another well done issue of this fanzine. –Tricia Ramos (Stapled Spine, stapledspine.com)
