I fucking loved this. Berlin’s Spott play vicious, crusty, antifascist punk rock. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I find it deeply satisfying when German bands write songs about fucking up Nazis; it makes me think, if only for a moment, that maybe things will be okay after all. The eponymous lyric “waving dinosaurs smash fascism” is ridiculous to be sure, but in context it helps sell what is an anthem of rage and fed-upped-ness, as if Barney the Dinosaur finally decided that fascists don’t get love and then sets out to fuck up as many as possible before he sings the little ones to sleep.
