Of all the striking images in this inaugural volume—and there are a few—the one that struck me the most was one of a ripped ten dollar bill. I was not distraught by its destruction, but I was sweating the fact that I could have used that ten dollars. Adel Souto, through whatever means, has an eye for the nightmarish in many shapes.
