SPARROWHAWK: Self-titled:12”

Nov 20, 2023

Within the first minute of Sparrowhawk’s first full-length album, you know they’re from the Midwest. That’s not a criticism. Sparrowhawk have given us an honest-to-god Midwest punk album and if that was what they were trying to achieve (I hope it was), it’s perfect. This album is right up there with what we’ve come to love from the Lawrence Arms and even early (early) Alkaline Trio. So grab your comfiest flannel, your favorite Promise Ring shirt, and pop on this album. –Caitlin Santavenere (Self-released, sparrowhawkrock.bandcamp.com)
