You know, I thought the artwork looked mildly familiar. Drew Owens of Sick Thoughts created the cover art. It’s some rock’n’roll cheese at its finest. I was not expecting to like this as much as I do, but I’m really glad this rare gem was remastered for our grubby little hands… um er, record players. The Soul Patrol existed in Louisiana from 1979-1981, and it’s just straight garage punk, very unglamorous in all respects. Simple, amateur, blown-out fuzz garage, al à Killed By Death jams, with strong a Stooges influence. And it’s good, like really good. I could say more but they have a full insert that really strokes themselves. Pick this one up. ’Nuff said. –Camylle (Feel It, feelitrecords.bandcamp)
