SOUL GLO: The N In Me Is Me: CS

Jul 27, 2020

Soul Glo manage to move from art hardcore, to noise, to lo fi, to rap, to grind, to sludge, and back to hardcore seamlessly. At moments I can hear poetry and rage and processing, sometimes I can’t understand anything except the feelings of angst, stress, release, contemplation, and what I can only theorize as the feeling of being in a pit filled fully with anticipation for movement, having it bubble up inside of you, not knowing what is on the other side of it. I wish I had the lyrics, but maybe they’re not for me—and that’s okay. I refuse to put words in their mouth. I sit with these feelings and riffs and sonic collages that carry so much. I listen again. This tape is incredible. –Candace Hansen (SRA)
