SOMETHING FOR NOTHING #79, two stamps, 8½” x 5½”, 44pgs.

My second issue of Something for Nothing, Idy’s 79th, this zine is a case of getting really good at what you do by way of just doing it. Excellent design, busy but clean with that tiny photocopied text look so idiosyncratic to truly cut-and-paste zines, something I at least love though it seems less and less common. It’s always nice to be able to admire the attention to detail in a zine like this and in Something for Nothing’s distinctive method of encyclopedic, whole-artist reviews. This issue treats The Specials and Madness, includes a chronicle of what, exactly, one does with a rare week off work and, yes, beverage reviews are back. –jimmy cooper (Something for Nothing, PO Box 226, Massillon, OH 44648)
