I was pretty into this. It was anthemic and rock-heavy, with good riffs and solid knock-down breakdowns. The songs alternate between regular rock song length and pretentious artist length, which means that the average is somewhere in the middle and that seems about right. They do describe themselves as “unassuming art-rock” which feels a little bit like an oxymoron to me, but I get what they’re going for. Though it’s possible that the singer will get mad at me for saying this, the vocals remind me sometimes of Chris Cornell and that shouldn’t be taken as an insult because I loved Chris Cornell. I even had his solo record on vinyl. So, I’m saying good things about this band even if they don’t know it. –Theresa W. (Self-released)
