Siberian Ass Torture (dare you to Google that!) demolish your ears with nine songs of the most noise-drenched sludge-core I have ever encountered. Sloth and Crom bathing in static electricity. Crack serve up seven tracks of cascading improvisational noise replete with guitars drowning in echo and reverb, agonized vocals, and tribal drumming held together by a cornucopia of harsh noise. Both bands are channeling the late-’80s/early-’90s weirdness of bands like Boredoms, Sockeye, Gasp, and Caroliner.
