SHORT DAYS: Direction Nowhere: LP

Mar 19, 2024

Imagine a slightly more frenetic Marked Men and that’s what Short Days offers up. This is the French outfit’s second album, seven years after its debut LP. This is pure, guitar-driven punk rock with tunes and melody aplenty, verging between a rampant delivery and one which eases off the gas a bit to catch a breath. Sound-wise, it retains some rough edges—which I find appealing—across the fourteen tracks, creating a less-than-pristine quality to the songs. Straightforward, simple, and highly effective. –Rich Cocksedge (Destructure.org)
