Ever wonder what the world would be like if Discharge, Eyehategod, and the Cows were left in a room full of equipment to figure things out? For my money, these three tracks, recorded in 1990 and 1991 from an Arkansas punk band, offer a glimpse. The opener, “The Awful Truth,” fits squarely in the noise rock end of the spectrum; the closer, “God,” is a tasty bit of sludge that would make Flipper giddy; and sandwiched between is “Problem,” a driving ditty that would easily get the pits swirling.
