The tape included a little blurb for the reviewer saying they were going with a “tried and true formula embedded with the mentality of keeping the wheel turning rather than reinventing” and, fair enough. It is formulaic ’80s East Coast style hardcore. Assuming the band wrote this and not the label, I appreciate their self-awareness but feel a little put off by the traditionalism in this mindset and approach.
