SECND BEST: No Indigo: LP

This album is well-recorded melodic punk. The singer’s voice and the backups are really good. They make for Bad Religion-level chorus arrangements. “Content of Consciousness” moves with hot precision. The drums are tight. I also love the bass sound. “A Flat Miracle” has some nice tricky stop and start stuff going on. “Jungle Rush” proves the band can slow down a little if they want. I can’t tell if there’s a different singer on “Event Theorizon,” but it sounds a bit angrier and a little more hardcore-inspired. I liked the title of that one. This album is really well done. I’d say if you’re into the better end of speedier ’90s Epitaph/Fat you’d appreciate this. –Billups Allen (Self-released)
