SCRATCH N’ SNIFFS, THE: Toxic Crusades: 7”

The Scratch n’ Sniffs from Pittsburgh follow up their killer debut LP with this 7” containing five more kick-ass tracks of catchy, straightforward punk. What distinguishes this band from the plethora of other on-point acts doing 1977-styled punk is the fact that they take snotty vocals to a new level, delivering some of the snottiest tunes imaginable. Their excellent live show vibe is well captured by the production, and the packaging’s artwork is super cool, too. Toxic Crusades is definitely a record worth seeking out, and since only two hundred were pressed, it’s critical not to snooze on it. –Art Ettinger (Self-released,
