The first song sounds like an endless karaoke version of “Where’s Captain Kirk?” by Athletico Spizz 80. The second song sounds like it was based entirely on that weird repeating synth pattern at the very tail end of “Curtain Call” by The Damned. There are nineteen more songs here, but presumably you catch my general drift. This cassette sounds like they ran off about thirty tapes, each one dubbed from the previous copy in order to further deteriorate fidelity, and I got #29 or something. I hate to be the cranky old square bitching about sound quality in a punk mag, but come on. It actually sounds like there’s some cool punky/kitschy synth pop in there somewhere à la the Silicon Teens, awaiting excavation from the hiss and cotton balls.
