Poppy proto punk from Toronto in the late ‘70s. Very Modern Lovers-sounding. I keep thinking about how weirded out all the disco ducks in T.O. would have been if they had walked into a Scenics show back in the ‘70s. They wouldn’t know what to think or do. For all of my rambling on about my love of Canadian punk rock, I have to admit that I know way less about what was going on over in the Eastern part of the country. I am always glad to learn more and The Scenics are a prime example. Awesome. –Ty Stranglehold (Dream Tower, dreamtowerrecords.com)
