SCARCITY OF TANKS: Ringleader Lies: CD

All manner of rock is assailed within these grooves—grungy punk, shimmering ballads, dissonant art-damage, experimental forays, classic rock echoes—in a myriad of hues: light, dark, dissonant, “pop,” and so on. The results are consistently engaging, however, and there is a “pop” quality woven throughout despite squawking leads, churning rhythms, abused organs, and battered acoustic guitars. Blissful, elegant noise. –Jimmy Alvarado (Total Life Society)
