A veritable who’s who of punk’s fringe—especially parts of L.A.’s so-called “classic” punk era—yet again get together to make a racket. As with previous installments, there is an eclecticism in approach and a lot of experimentation in delivery, yet they still manage to keep a sense of cohesiveness and shared purpose to a track list that is by turns sludgy, artsy, dissonant, catchy, and hypnotic. Fans of the stuff from the wings of the mid-periods of record labels New Alliance and SST will find much to love here. –Jimmy Alvarado (Total Life Society)
