The front and back covers of this record are a kind of cloud/water pastiche of collage, a little off, with images rising from the palette of muted colors here and there. After a moment, you see a wave, a cloud, a phone. Extreme Falcon is like an audio version of that, like a diary of Stansfield’s dream pop home recordings. Soft-edged and drifting songs, with a lot of instrumental tracks that kind of echo and sway along. I’m not sure how much this would appeal to whatever constitutes an “average” Razorcake listener, but it’s certainly convincing enough. Not remotely my thing, but I admire the craft of it. Well done and well executed. –Keith Rosson (Slick Rock)
