Richie replaced Marky in the Ramones in the mid-’80s for a couple of their questionable LPs (I guess Too Tough to Die is decent enough). Kinda sucks to build a career on being the “other guy,” but needs must be met, I guess. As with all his stuff, it leans heavily on the classic Ramones style with vocals that have more Danzig than Joey. It’s classic three chord punk and it works okay. I’m pretty jaded and my tolerance for folk using their band’s clout from a million years ago is pretty low. It’s totally listenable and “fine.” No hate, but I need this less than the new record by Billy Idol and the blokes from the Pistols. –Tim Brooks (Outro,
