REMOTE CONTROLS, THE / 20 MINUTES: Split: 7”

Mar 19, 2024

Hailing from Indianapolis, The Remote Controls pump out two songs of Queers-esque snotty, melodic punk. Upbeat with catchy leads and the ’tude to match, they stay close to the Midwest snotty pop punk formula and do it well. On the flip side, 20 Minutes from Italy blast through two of their own with a supercharged rockin’ punk’n’roll type sound, paying less attention to pop hooks and more emphasis on bluesy garage riffage. Overall, a good split 7”. –Mark Twistworthy (The Remote Controls, theremotecontrols.bandcamp.com)
