RAZORBLADES & ASPIRIN #10, $10, 8½” x 11”, glossy, 76 pgs.

Richmond-based Razorblades & Aspirin has been making some waves for ten issues now with their special attention to, well, everything! The photos are amazing (some in full cover, just like the cover), the interviews highlight a variety of bands and photographers, and the pages are all printed on high quality stock so it doesn’t dirty your typically oily, sweaty hands with newsprint; sorry, that’s just me. Photogs interviewed for this issue include veteran Chris Boarts Larson, Matthew Kadi, and Alison Braun who I have recently discovered through social media and whose photos of the early ’80s punk scene in California are just absolutely amazing. The bands interviewed include Haram, Strike Anywhere, Antimob, Enzyme, and others. The record reviews are quite short but it appears as if this whole mag is put together by one person so kudos to them for taking on quite a huge task all in the worship of punk and hardcore. If Jerry Seinfeld was into punk he’d say “this is weird, wild stuff!” Get this now! –Juan Espinosa (PO Box 23173, Richmond, VA 23223, razorbladesandaspirin.com)
