Just when I think M. Thorn can’t go any bigger, he ups the ante with this new issue of Razorblades and Aspirin. As always, photography is the focus of this gorgeous glossy zine: shutterbugs such as Becky Digiglio, Kirsten Thoen, and Adam Lowe strut their stuff in pix and interviews. Thorn talks to bands—Mess, Wrong War, and Protocol, and extensively covers punk archivist Bryan Ray Turcotte and legendary Los Angeles photographer Edward Colver in long conversations with images. As always, the level of care and attention to detail is superlative—I cannot imagine the amount of work and thought it must take for one dude and a copy editor to put out something this good multiple times a year.
