Blistering, thrashy, political hardcore from Boston. Despite evident metallic influences, the songs are short and sweet, with lyrics explicitly decrying racism, religious fundamentalism, and governmental authority. Rat Trap seems like they’d be sick live but their Bandcamp page indicates that the group is now defunct, which is a shame. A choice lyric: “This nation is a nightmare ruled by a corpse.” So true.
