St. Louis’s Radio Buzzkills are like gravel and slivers of glass in a milkshake: sweet, but it’s gonna cut you, too. My initial plays of the six scorchers on this record reminded me a lot of the Teen Idols, owing largely to similarities in the guitar rhythms and the vocal harmonies. And then I found them described on the ProRawk website as “not a retread of the much missed Teen Idols, but an evolution of female/male fronted pop punk genre.” Supporting evidence confirms my assessment!
