You know it’s some obscure shit when the “lost” 1982 recording—of a side project by some dude you’ve never heard of from bands you don’t know—surfaces. I’m not familiar with Isolierband, but I guess they were prominent in the art punk/darkwave scene. This single was a one-off recording by the main guy Bernd Zimmermann and it’s great. Sung in German dark wave not a million miles away from Warsaw or Joy Division. Fans of bands like the Estranged and Autistic Youth take note.
