A skate zine focusing on women in skateboarding and featuring beautiful block prints made by the author, Melody. In this issue, Melody recounts the different bouts with sexism she has endured while at the skatepark. And how comments of that nature can make you wanna curl up on the bench and hope to disappear. Most of the pages are graced with one of the aforementioned block prints. They look great in the photocopied zine format. The back half of the zine are write-ups about Melody’s favorite female skaters, usually accompanied by a block print portrait. The portrait of Marbie Miller is wonderful. Melody ends the zine with a message of positivity and hope for those who have had downer experiences like her: “As skaters, it’s an integral part to lift up those around you that are putting in the work.” And hopefully some skater-bro idiots will read this and pick up on that message as well. –Rick V.
