POCKET FISHRMEN: The Greatest Story Ever Told: LP

There was a lot of colorful text to get through on this record before I could figure out what it was all about. It’s a collection of avant-garde songs from the Austin quartet, going back to 1987. Most of the themes border on playful, funny, and ridiculous. Some of the song titles should give you a good idea of what I mean: “Pot Mountain,” “Gay Jew Conquistador,” “Half Mast,” and “Flaccid Is the Night.” This is one for the eclectic music fan and folks who enjoy bands like The Queers, The Ziggens, and The Mentors. –Ryan Nichols (Saustex, [email protected])
