I’ve seen German oi legends Stomper 98, and one of the many reasons the shows were so memorable is that Sebi is an incredibly charismatic frontperson. Plizzken is Sebi’s new band, and this LP is the first in which he sings entirely in English. Sociopolitical lyrics about globally troubled times float over streetpunk anthems designed to sing along to. Since it’s a Pirates Press release, there’s also a promotional flexi available for “Dear All Happy People,” one of many hits included on the LP, which also resulted in an amusing music video. –Art Ettinger (Pirates Press, piratespress.com)
