PLEASE STOP!: Power Suit and Dead Bodies: 7”

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to see the guys school a basement full of (ugh) millennials in the finer points of punk fucking rock (my apologies to the one quarter of Please Stop! who is a millennial themselves. I am a jaded old fuck). Power Suit and Dead Bodies is eight tracks coming in at just under eleven minutes. Short, but so sweet. No words minced. No bass line left unpolished. Not a git lick without swagger, and, lack of life experience aside, that young’n can really play those skins. For fans of such pioneers as X-Ray Spex and The Bags, this shit hits. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by the brilliant Luke Tweedy of Flat Black Studios, and sporting some sweet album art by Marco No Front Teeth, this 7” is a gem. Don’t waste yer couple of hard-earned bucks on penny whistles and Moonpies. Please Stop! would like to talk to you about a little thing called “Proactive Nihilism,” so pick up this honey of a piece’o’wax. Three bonus digital tracks included. –Jackie Rusted (No Front Teeth, nofrontteeth.co.uk)
