This utterly fascinating demo was recorded during the early 1980s martial law period in Poland. The band name translates roughly to Pregnancy Pathology. Highly danceable, these eleven songs are gritty exemplars of new wave with a punk edge, with a lo-fi recording quality worthy of emulation, despite arising from necessity. For a demo recorded thirty-eight years ago to stun on vinyl this many years later is no small feat. Far from just a historic curiosity item, this is a delight from start to finish. The LP version includes a giant fold-out lyric sheet. There’s also a CD edition with bonus and live tracks. Truly awe-inspiring, Dziennik Trwa is a treasure. –Art Ettinger (Pasażer)
